There are a number of websites that discuss action research. The listings below are but a subset of the vast number of resources available to educators engaged in an action research project. However, the resources listed below are probably the ones that are most relevant to this course. Links have been provided to more general resources as your interests may spread outside the scope of the course.
Collaborative Action Research Network
CARN was founded in 1976 to follow up the development work of the Ford Teaching Project at the University of East Anglia in the UK. This is largest organized group of educators investigating how to use action research to improve educational pratice through action research. The website has a number of resources including becoming a member of the listserv, articles and papers related to action research.
Southern Cross University Resources
Action Research resouce papers organized by Southern Cross University. This website includes arcticles concerning how to do action research, the history of action research, a description of the different models of action research and how action research relates to other forms of research. Of particular interest for this course are the following articles:
University of North Carolina at Pembroke
These articles are maintained by the The University of North Carolina at Pembroke. The articles range from what action research is, to the mechanics of doing action research, and how to use your findings from your action research project to influence policy and improve your teaching.

Refereed electronic journal on-line journal for teachers. The Ontario Action Researcher promotes the development of educational knowledge through action research by elementary, secondary, and university teachers.
Network's - Online Journal for Teacher Research.
The first on-line journal dedicated to teacher research. This journal has a number of articles (many written by K-12 teachers) that present the findings from action research projects. The majority of articles are short and focused on how to do action research and how action research can change teaching practice.

This site has a number of excellent how to get started doing action research. There are also several class assignment ideas for teachers who are new to conducting an action research project.
Bob Dick's Site at Southern Cross University
This is the same site as above. It is included here again because there is a wealth of Action Research Resource papers that explore the nature of action research.

This site provides access to a range of materials from action research activities in preservice and graduate programs of the Faculty of Education at Queen's University.
