CHALLENGE!!!

What is a "tide" and why do they occur? As I stood on the beach, I wondered if the Atlantic Ocean’s tide was doing the same thing. Do you think it was? What are engineers doing to try to stop ocean front erosion? What will happen if it isn’t controlled? Experiment with erosion control at a nearby creek or pond.

Why don’t we have tides in Indiana, or do we? Is erosion a problem in Indiana? If it is a problem, how do think it can be stopped or at least slowed down?
