Justin's Journal Entry for November 22, 1998
Greetings from Fort Collins, Colorado!!! We had a long road trip today that included a trip back through the Columbia River Gorge, down through Idaho, where we stopped off at Craters of the Moon, National Monument. Craters is an ancient lava field. We felt like we were literally on the moon!

After making our way through Idaho, we drove down to Ogden, Utah and watched F-16 "Fighting Falcons" do night flights. All you could see were orange streaks flashing across the sky. They were moving so fast we couldn’t even get a picture!

From Ogden, we drove to Ft. Collins via Dinosaur National Monument. This area is very rich in fossilized remains…including Raptors and T-Rex’s. We got there to late at night to see a whole lot but I did talk to a gentleman who told us where we could find some Dinosaur stuff in Ft. Collins. We will find some Dinos for you today!

Once we arrived in Ft. Collins (about a half hour ago), we went to DeJA Vu Coffeehouse. The owner, Nancy Brown, told us where we could find the flood plains from 1997 and some other cool things to check out here. She should be writing you later today! She was very excited about talking to children from Indiana.

Tomorrow, we will begin the trek towards Indianapolis…let us know what you want to see!
